What does it mean to be a domain name?

It's official. My website is now online. Take a peak at www.joannerendell.com.

So no longer am I just a person, I am also a domain name too. How weird is that? It takes me back to those philosophy classes in my first year at the Unversity of Leeds (UK) when we would discuss what it means to be human. It also makes me feel suddenly old to realize that if someone at the time had asked "what does it mean to be a domain name?" we'd have all replied "a domain...what?"

Technology is moving so fast these days. And it seems who we are is too.

Anyway, enough of the philosophical discussions on ontology (I've clearly had too many cups of tea this morning), time to get back to some writing...
